Tour Details

Day 1: Arrive Darwin Airport, Finniss River Helicopters (FRH) Shuttle Bus pickup. A quick drive to FRH Hangars, for a safety briefing before hopping straight into your helicopter. Beginning with a 30-minute scenic flight over Bynoe Harbour and the Finniss River Wetlands, where you'll spot buffalo and wild pigs. Land at the Top End Safari Camp, where Matt Wright will take you on an airboat ride through the wetlands to get up close with big crocs and try your hand at freshwater barra fishing. Then back to the croc enclosures where we will feed some of our big problem crocs. Hop in the chopper for a 30 min flight back to Darwin, arriving approx 5:30pm. FRH shuttle bus back to your hotel, ready for a fun night on Mitchell Street! Day 2: FRH Shuttle pickup at 8am, head out to the FRH hangars via a hot box to line the guts before getting straight into a full day Heli Pub Crawl! Standard Alpha Package: Pub 1: Chopper straight to Dundee Beach – Arrive as the doors open and dive right in. Pub 2: Sandpalms Roadhouse Pub 3: Darwin River Tavern (Lunch) Pub 4: Barramundi Adventures – Catch a barra while you’re there! Pub 5: Noonamah Tavern – Choppers will return to hangars (2 min flight) while you enjoy your drinks. FRH Shuttle back to Mitchell Street to cap off the night. (Itinerary can be tailored on the day if you are having more fun at one pub) Day 3: FRH shuttle pickup at 7 AM for a full day of deep-sea fishing. Chopper straight to Dundee Lodge where you'll jump on Barra or Blue fishing adventures for approx 6 hours to catch all sorts of fish! Back to Dundee about 3pm pending tides, then stumble back into Dundee Lodge for a few more cold ones. Chopper ride back up Bynoe Harbour and Darwin River, before dropping off at Noonamah Tavern again, whilst choppers are put away. FRH Shuttle will pick you up from Noonamah when you call it a night and take you back to town. Day 4: FRH Shuttle pickup at 7:30am, head out to the choppers and fly straight to the Daly River. If bull catching experience is available (additional cost pp required), run some Bulls and Buff out to catch for a half day. Enjoy a BBQ hotplate lunch before your chopper will take you out for an afternoon of Barra action. Helifish your way back downstream of the Daly into the salt water to try and catch some big fish. Chopper back into Darwin on sunset, dropped off at Noonamah Tavern again as choppers are put away. FRH shuttle picks your broken souls up from Noonamah back into town. Job Done!

  • Minimum 2 pax for all bookings.

  • Maximum individual passenger weight for an R44 is 136kg.

  • Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your tour departure time.

  • Enclosed footwear and sun safety items are recommended.

FRH offers a shuttle service at an additional cost per person however this is subject to availability. Please contact our office to enquire about this service.
